The German multinational company Henkel is conducting the recall with the knowledge and cooperation of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to Henkel, the product could leak from the package under pressure, posing a risk of explosion.
The recall was prompted by a single customer complaint and two salon reports, which mentioned bruising on the hand as a result of the product leaking. No other injuries were reported.
