Cécred, the haircare brand founded by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, is launching in the UK and Ireland through an exclusive partnership with Space NK. From September 22, the brand will be available in all 90 Space NK stores and online, marking its first major international physical retail expansion.
The rollout includes the brand's full range of haircare collections. It also features a notable debut: the Temple Oud Hair Perfume. This product is Cécred's first fragrance-focused launch, described as a rich, woody floral scent formulated specifically for hair.
Retail Partnership and Strategy
Grace Ray, CEO of Cécred, explained the operational shift required for this move into large-scale retail. She told Vogue that scaling for massive retail required building an entirely different set of operational capabilities, from supply chain execution to in-store programming. The UK was a logical first international step, as it is the brand's second-largest market after the United States.
Beyoncé Knowles-Carter commented on the launch. "Introducing our award-winning formulas to Space NK is a natural next step," she said. She expressed happiness that the UK community, which embraced the brand from its start, could finally experience the products in person.
Product Focus and Fragrance Debut
The brand's entry into the UK market spans its core haircare lines. The following collections will be available at Space NK:
The standout addition is the Temple Oud Hair Perfume. This product moves the brand into the fragrance space, with a scent designed to work with the chemistry of hair rather than just skin. The brand emphasizes that its formulas are developed for all hair types and textures, organized around specific hair and scalp needs.
Brand Background and Development
Cécred launched as a direct-to-consumer business in February 2024 after six years of research and development. It now ships to 100 countries. The brand made its US retail debut with Ulta Beauty in February 2026, in what that retailer called the largest prestige haircare rollout in its history.
The company operates a research laboratory and test salon at its Los Angeles headquarters. Product performance is tested across three continents to account for a global range of hair types. A key ingredient is its proprietary bioactive keratin ferment, designed to penetrate the hair cortex to support strength and structural integrity.
Regarding future growth, CEO Grace Ray said Cécred has received interest from other international markets. The brand intends to apply the same measured approach used for its UK expansion when considering any further launches. The partnership with Space NK represents a significant step in building the brand's global retail presence.
