The 7 Virtues Launches Amber Orchid, a Modern 90s Floral

The 7 Virtues has launched Amber Orchid, its first true warm floral fragrance. Founder Barb Stegemann framed the scent as a contemporary reinterpretation of the bold, sexy perfumes popular in the 1990s.

"With Amber Orchid, I reimagined a sexy 90s night-time perfume with a modern take," Stegemann told ÇaFleureBon. She stated the perfume remains bold, sexy, and long-lasting but incorporates comforting second-skin notes and a playful pop of golden apple to align with the brand's signature DNA. Stegemann connected the launch to a current cultural moment, suggesting "we're back in the Romance Era."

Nose & Notes

The fragrance is built around a composition of five key notes. The brand's characteristic vanilla infusion is present, designed to allow the scent to blend seamlessly with others.

Reviewer Olya Bar described the scent experience as decadent and autumnal. She noted the golden apple note evokes freshly picked fruit, framed by the warm florals. The vanilla was perceived as generous and indulgent on the skin, with a characteristic faint salted edge common to other fragrances from the house. Bar likened the overall effect to something between apple pie and an appletini, finishing like a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting into your skin.

The 7 Virtues is a B-Corp and Leaping Bunny certified brand. Its perfumes are described as clean, using responsibly sourced ingredients. The formulations are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and hypoallergenic, made without phthalates, parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, or UV inhibitors. The brand uses sugarcane alcohol.

As part of a partnership with Days For Girls, a portion of proceeds from each bottle sold will fund menstrual equity initiatives in North America, supporting education, advocacy, and product distribution. The brand is noted as the only B-Corporation certified by Sephora.
