The Ancorotti Group has launched a dedicated perfume manufacturing division, backed by a 23 million euro investment in a new factory. This move expands the contract manufacturer's capabilities beyond its historic strength in mascara and makeup.

According to a report by Premium Beauty News, the group is now structured into three units: Ancorotti Cosmetics for makeup, Cosmoproject for skincare, and the newly formed Ancorotti Perfumes. Founder and president Renato Ancorotti stated the company's broad ambition. "Our ambition is to be present across every beauty category, including through acquisitions where appropriate," he said. The overall group expects to generate around 250 million euros in revenue by 2026.

A new perfume production campus

The group's new perfume facility is located in Crema, Italy, adjacent to its existing makeup plant. The fully automated site spans 5,000 square meters and has an annual production capacity of 1.5 million liters. It integrates all stages of fragrance production, from alcohol blending and maceration to filling and final packaging.

This allows Ancorotti Perfumes to offer a fully integrated, turnkey manufacturing service. The new division currently serves customers primarily in Italy and the United States, catering to both niche brands and large-scale international launches.

Partnerships and hybrid fragrance formats

For perfume creation, Ancorotti Perfumes has formed strategic partnerships with various fragrance houses. These collaborations enable the company to develop proprietary fragrance compositions as part of its turnkey service. The offering is complemented by scented candles, produced through a specialized manufacturing partner.

The company is also use its makeup expertise to develop innovative, hybrid fragrance formats. These concepts move beyond traditional alcohol-based perfumes. At the Esxence exhibition, Ancorotti showed textures that blur the line between fragrance and cosmetics.

These included sticks, powders, holographic mists, solids, and gels. The company states these formats are designed to combine high olfactory performance with skincare benefits.

Growth targets for the fragrance division

While currently a modest part of the group's total sales, the perfume division is described as a rapidly growing, start-up-style operation. Renato Ancorotti acknowledges this but believes investments in facilities and a full-service model will drive growth.

The company has set a specific revenue target for the new division. Ancorotti Perfumes aims to generate 15 million euros in revenue by 2026.
