Guerlain KissKiss Bag Charms by Pure Trade
Packaging specialist Pure Trade has created two lipstick-holder bag charms for Guerlain's KissKiss line. The accessories, made from recycled materials, are designed as permanent collectibles rather than disposable gifts.

Pure Trade, a Paris-based luxury packaging and gift-with-purchase specialist, has unveiled two new lipstick-holder accessories for Guerlain's KissKiss line. The items are designed as collectible bag charms, crafted from recycled zamak and RPET materials to transform the promotional gift into a lasting object.
Both creations integrate Guerlain's signature bee motif, demonstrating how a promotional item can embody the maison's design codes as completely as its primary packaging. The project aims to move beyond disposable gifts.
First Creation: The Influencer Piece
The first accessory is an openwork golden lipstick case accompanied by four charms. The leading charm features Guerlain's signature lips motif. This piece was designed specifically for influencer gifting, built to transition from hand to handbag to social media feeds.
Its charms are made from recycled zamak, finished with gold electroplating and epoxy colouring. The connecting rings for these charms are assembled by hand.
Second Creation: The Gift-with-Purchase
The second item is a gift-with-purchase offering: a slim, rectangular lipstick pouch with a supple red finish. Pure Trade developed a special RPET material for this piece, engineered to replicate the look and feel of PU and suede both inside and out. This choice aligns with Guerlain's established tactile design language.
The pouch is completed with several decorative elements. These include a debossed Guerlain bee, gilded hardware, and a zamak carabiner. It also features two enamelled charms: a miniature lipstick and the KissKiss lips symbol.
Materials and Design Philosophy
The project highlights a shift in approach for promotional items. Pure Trade recast the traditional gift-with-purchase as a "keep-forever object." This is achieved through durable construction and the use of premium, recycled materials.
The two accessories showcase different material innovations. The following table compares their key specifications as detailed by the source.
By employing recycled zamak and a specially engineered RPET, the designs focus on sustainability without compromising luxury. The red pouch's material was specifically crafted to meet Guerlain's standards for texture and finish. Each piece turns a functional lipstick holder into a branded fashion accessory, complete with the maison's iconic bee and lips motifs.
