Core Biogenesis and Faravelli have presented a new body care concept named Skin Longevity Butter. It is a technology demonstrator, not a commercial product. It shows how biotechnology can expand premium body care beyond simple hydration.

The concept combines proprietary biomimetic growth factors with botanical lipids. This pairing highlights a shift. Consumers are extending sophisticated skincare routines to their entire body.

Biomimetic Growth Factor Core

At the formulation's heart are two technologies: Peauforia and Peauvita. Developed by Core Biogenesis, these biomimetic growth factors are produced using a plant biofactory platform. They are encapsulated in natural oleosomes.

These ingredients support skin barrier function. They also improve skin quality and firmness. They encourage biological renewal. Skin Longevity Butter pairs these actives with Illipe butter and a nourishing lipid complex.

The goal is to demonstrate how advanced actives can be integrated for greater product differentiation. It is more than just another body butter.

The Longevity Narrative in Body Care

Consumer expectations are evolving past basic moisturization. Tony Abboud, Chief Commercial Officer at Core Biogenesis, commented on the trend. He stated that biotechnology offers an opportunity to create body care that supports skin quality, resilience and durability.

"Skin Longevity Butter provides a glimpse into what that future could look like," Abboud said. This launch taps into the durability narrative, one of the beauty industry's fastest-growing themes.

Once confined mostly to premium facial skincare, this focus is now influencing adjacent categories like body care. For ingredient suppliers, it has become a platform for introducing technologies that emphasize barrier support and skin resilience.

A Broader Concept Collection

Skin Longevity Butter is part of a larger series called the Longevity Concepts collection. This collection was developed jointly by Core Biogenesis and Faravelli. It includes other product concepts that extend the biomimetic growth factor approach.

The series also features a Lip Longevity Gloss and an Eye Longevity Shadow. These concepts move the technology from skincare into the colour cosmetics category.

They function as inspiration platforms for beauty manufacturers and brand owners. For Faravelli, the partnership shows how distributors are increasingly contributing to innovation. They translate new ingredient technologies into market-ready concepts.

Biotechnology's Expanding Role

The launches show the growing influence of biotechnology in the beauty sector. From fermentation-derived ingredients to plant-based production platforms, biotech enables sophisticated actives. It also responds to demand for innovative and more sustainable solutions.

As whole-body skincare gains traction, segments like body care could become testing grounds for regenerative, durability-focused formulations. Concepts like Skin Longevity Butter suggest facial skincare's high-performance positioning is moving to an increasingly strategic category for brands.
